well, well, well... so, look at these awesome brushes that i found the other day here in a store so close to my home. i mean, amazing. ok, before you read the title it's so stupid to try to deceive you. so let's talk about what this video is going to be. i'm going to teach you the process to learn how to customize our own brushes, pencils, pens,

sticks... whatever we want. because, honestly, rarely i like the design of the brushes that i usually buy. so one day i was tired and said: "we have come so far." "i'm going to customize them in the way i want". my main idea was to make harry potter wands, because i know around here i have some fans.

and i said ok, this is my chance, eh... i will succeed. but then i started looking the designs and said: "god, i don't like anyone". the fans, don't kill me, please. this is just my own taste. so basically everything has been improvised except one that i've to say that was totally inspired

by this image i saw on pinterest and thought "fuck, how cool is it". "i have a little stone like that so i'm going to use it". apparently this artist works making staffs and wands which are, really, very impressive. as you see the name he uses is "kurth works", i'll leave the link to his website in the description. check it out, it is very cool. so, as i'm inspiring in his design

that i found on internet, at least i need to credit him. so, let's do this becaose i talk too much and this gives us the year 2106. materials: we can use such modeling paste, fimo, cold porcelain, ect. in my case i will use epoxy putty.

first and essential cover the brush, to avoid damage. and then make a strip with putty and go around the brush until cover it completely. for the putty we help with alcohol to smooth the surface.

using modeling tools let's go making texture and the shape you want. you can add little stones or random stuff that you have at home to give it a look more... more striking. a peg which is capable supporting the weight of the brush

can help you so much in the work process. you can use clear plastic wrap or masking tape to cover the hairs. for this brush i will give it a look closest to a wand. so i'll give it some texture like wood,

you can achieve it in the dumbest way, i mean, just making random lines and some holes strategically placed. let the putty hardens and start sanding imprefections. before priming we will leave everything very well cleaned. and we can cover with clay

the areas that we don't want to stain. now, let's go with the primer. this just means on giving a layer across the surface with a special product to avoid problems with the paint that we give to it later. when the primer has dried we can start painting. in my case i will make a latex mixture

with acrylic paint. just because the latex is much more resistant. there are many brands of latex-based paint, but if you can't find them you know that you can do the same mixture as me. to get a texture like wood what works best for me is to make very thin layers

without pushing too hard with the brush and between layers go overlaying few lines with each other. we can get a very cool effect applying a coat of paint and before it dries and using a paper towel or something similar, and give some little taps over the surface.

we get a rough texture, type marble more or less, which i personally love, really. remember that you can find gold or silver paint which you can get very cool effects. using tools that scrape we can get an old and more realistic effect on surface. to achieve a more aged effect

the bitumen of judea is on the top. really, i'm a big fan of this bitumen. i can't with my life, bitumen, please come and marry me already. really, thank you very much angechefs for teaching me in their day ago almost a couple of centuries, more or less. because this is really a true gift of the gods.

alternatively we can use very dilute dark acrylic paint and just apply it on the surface and quickly remove it with a tissue or cloth. with this all the gaps will look much deeper and the surface will look in a darker tone. next step,

we will varnish them to protect the paint. when the varnish is dry we can proceed to remove all the protection. and to remove the clay use water because if you use alcohol or something similar it will eat the paint and the varnish and we can achieve a total disaster. finally we can give a more striking touch using a nail polish of those

with glossy or a metallic effect. or give a viscous effect to these tentacles using clear lacquer. and then that was it. i know that it can seem so much steps but i assure you can get to do this in a very short time. and it's super easy at least i had so much fun making them.

down here i leave a link to my web where you can see pictures of everything i did in this video with much more detail. and as always, if you do this, share it with the hashtag #keevanski. you know i'm dying of excitement every time i see something yours. and nothing more, i hope you liked it

and see you in the next video. :d
