(upbeat ukulele music) (smooches) - hey guys, welcome to millennial moms! i'm tay.! i am so excited for this video, not only, but also this channel! so don't forget to click subscribe and leave a comment below with an idea that you millennials want to see for any
of my upcoming diy videos! i am showing you guys how to make five different diy gifts that you can either give as diy gifts or you can diy them yourself. here we go! canvas kit. you can make your own, like i did here. i like to get a kit of canvases.
so you get like five to ten in the bag. and then you can also givethe rest as diy gifts. some things i like to includewith canvases would be paint, some ribbons. i really am into these clothespin things. because you can clip pictures on 'em. teen girls would probably love to put, like, their movie tickets, the concert tickets, and things like that.
for any type of art stuffthat you can think of (clicks) the next thing i'm gonna show you is ... we used one yard of each fabricfor the front and the back. so two yards. so, it's a really inexpensive project and kids can give it and people love them. and so, landis has actuallydecided she wants to make one for everybody this year. she can customize 'em andeveryone's gonna love them.
you can make your own diy kit. these were 50% off when i got this, so this was $15. this is a great gift for boys and girls. this is like an accessory box. i put briley's name on this. so she can reuse it or shecan store all her hair bows inside of it. (angelic singing)
i loved this idea. plus hobby lobby makes it so easy, because they alreadyhave pre matching kits. this is a cheat. because i diyed half of it, and then the other half is a diy project. and i made one set so youcan see how it's all made. and then the other set, i justleft in there ready to go. you make it yourself.
alright guys this gift i wasthe most apprehensive about, because i wasn't sureif i could execute it. which i did. and it wasn't hard. it's a little bit of work. actually it's a lot of bit of work. if you're gonna give this to a kid, i would say to do all the nails for them and then just give them the twine.
and they can do all the wrapping. and then that takes half thework out for a younger kid. but if it's a teenager, ithink they could handle it. this is what you're gonna give 'em. you're gonna get a pieceof wood from michael's. these are only like $4 for that. and then, you're gonnaprint out their name or a design or somethingthat you think would be cool. this is for my nephew, shad.
and he loves to play the guitar. so i just made the 'a' by a guitar. if you don't know how to do this, i recommend just printing out your letters and then finding a picture you like and then you can cut them out individually and put them where you wantthem on your piece of wood. it's not that hard at all. it's so universal.
it's so customizable. you could do people's names. you could do their favorite scripture. you could do two stateswith a little string attaching them for a friend out of state. it's just ... the opportunities areendless with this one, guys. and this one is really simpleand really inexpensive. and really fun.
we are going to give... custom made, ear phones. blingin' ear phones. now you can either give them completed, or we could give the diy kit. and you can see that igot these for eight bucks at burlington coat factory. what you're gonna do isyou're gonna get a new bottle of e6000.
just get a new one. this is my used one. but i figured i wouldshow you guys with that. so, you wanna get them e6000, and then you wanna getthem some loose crystals. let them have at it. it's pretty self explanatory, and they can do whateverthey want with it. and it's just a fun, all around project.
